AWRE Message 7215929 was my earnings plays choice for 14th but then I added TXCC as well.. AWRE was good for multiple gains all this week and TXCC was good as well.. both bucked the down trend.. COGIF bucked the downtrend as well and a number of internet related stocks and earnings plays did as well (SEG (my choice for Silicon Investor earnings play),WDC,MXTR made for a good start of the week)... GCTI had a good week as well but succumbed to profit taking today. This just proves to me that throughout everything, the stocks with strong earnings will survive. I don't expect a stock like KEA to correct down 30% but I do expect a stock like YHOO and/or AMZN, CMGI to correct down 30-40%. BVSN was a good trade this week and so was NTBK.. BVSN had a relatively good day today and gave some good morning gain until it retreated.

How then do we explain the fact that GNET, VRSN and a number of stock in that sector were up as well? Simply because they are either already earning or close to earning in a sector that is in the midst of explosive growth. I'm not bearish on the internets, just bearish on the incredible price valuations.. Let it correct a few more days and it could resume, although I would like a slower pace.. It is the gains that these stocks made that caused this selloff more than the issues with Clinton and/or Brazil.. everyone was looking for an excuse but it was there all along.
