Debra,

Use the MS output programs' update existing metastock feature. Thats exactly what its made for. you overcomplicated everything by using the downloader.... QP will do what you want easily.... the only potential consideration is symbol name changes which QP will handle via its translation feature.

If you wanted to merge your old data with QP's new numbers perhaps you aren't aware that the QP data disc gives you numbers back to 1990. Do you need more history than that?
