I'm not sure that you understand what I'm saying. Let me try again. Winstone performance Xeon = PIII = PII = Celeron = K6-2 = MII, etc.

You can put a faster graphics card in, you can add multiple processors, but the choice of CPU makes very little difference. Once you have adequate clock speed and a large enough cache, the performance of CPU's is limited by dram latency, not the internal architecture of the CPU.
