SO,
I generally don't short anything, but I do hedge my long position with puts. All of my indicators are positive (I'm one of them P&F pointin fingers guys) so I am generally bullish. But I did have a tough time taking profits on CMGI today, even though my sell order was lower than the bid and the ask. So my experience today was similar to what bb was describing. I exited CMGI so that I could reposition with a higher strike and out in March. I have already made $30 on my new position. Absurd, but I will take it.
