NAVR - I missed the only real dip in NAVR just after I sold in early PM and ended buying it back at the same price. Talk about strong, I wish I could point at NAVR individually and say "there is something up" but from what I could tell, there was not a lot of trade ops. in most of the ones I was following today.

I am a little nervous about this gap play. As you all know, I have not been playing many gaps and such a broad based Inet rally like this makes it difficult to get too much of a gap without some accompanying news. NAVR has a couple things going for it though overnight.....the % move, the volume, a tie with DBCC and 1/2 the price of DBCC. Many will notice the move again tonight but a gap is not a sure thing here. NAVR burned me bad last time I tried the gap play on it at 12 or so.

Hope everyone did well today.

TJ

ALMI (s)

Finished very close to intraday high on about 3x ave. vol. About 125,000 shares traded in the last 20 min. today. The only info I could find were rumors on SI board and Yahoo board. Seems this has been building since last week. ALMI finished strong fro the last week or so and has gapped up a bit last few days. The rumor seems to center around a new contract to be announced Tues or Wed. of this week. I have been following ALMI for a few months and this has been the greatest amount of vol. since end of Nov./beginning of Dec.

Date Open High Low Close Volume Adj. Close*
2-Dec-1998 3.625 4.25 3.5 4.125 949,700 4.125
1-Dec-1998 4.5 4.9375 3.5 4 1,476,500 4
30-Nov-1998 4.875 4.875 4.5 4.875 5,889,400 4.875
27-Nov-1998 2.6875 4.75 2.6875 4.5 2,151,600 4.5

Is it significant that on the days the vol. was over 1M that the price did not break 5, but today with a vol. close to 1M it got over 5 and closed at 5 (up 22%)? Seems something is brewing. Any other insight?
