This is the blowoff to end all blowoffs. Many think they will be able to rise the internet rocket and get out just before the crash, but only a few will be successful.

OS action not very impressive today considering strong rise oil prices. Looks like we may have to back and fill some before the next upmove.

Two of my babies, FGI and VRC got spanked today, even with oil up some
50 cents. The internet gains today and for, really, the last couple of weeks are simply breathtaking. Congratulations to those with the foresight to go along for the ride. Everytime I tried to trade them I got burned. I keep away.

But, with the price of oil so bullish today, I am a little dissapointed that my fav's didn't respond more. I was hoping Big Dog's Raging Bull article may help FGI out today. If anything it looks like the OSX sold off to plow money into the internets. It seems I say this 10 times a day, but the i-nets are simply unfreakingbelievable. Never in my wildest imagination would I have thought that YHOO,AMAZN,XCIT,LCOS,ad naseum would go straight up for weeks without even hinting of a sell off. I'm convinced that they can run like they do is that they have no real fundamentals to trade off of. You can make an argument that they are actually worth 200 times revenues ( not in my mind of course). But these companies are trading like they own their industry and will never face any competition ever and that it is just a matter of time before the profits come pouring in.

Sure, oil is a commodity, but the internet is the ultimate commodity. You talk about price competition. With the internet you can instantly search for the lowest prices for whatever you are shopping for. It's only a matter of time before the internet e-commerce sites kill each other with price wars. I think investors realize that internet usage is skyrocketing, but with all the competition it's going to be tough making any money.

Again, who am I to question the values of these internet issues, as I am the dumb one watching them go to the sky from the sidelines. But, if someone would clue me in as to where the profits will come from, I would sure like to make some money on them. But until them, I will make it on the short side whenever reality sets in, which may not come for months.
