Are the earnings coming out today or tomorrow?

So our new whisper number is 40-45 cents! Let's see them beat that (no accounting tricks allowed).

A friend sent me an E-mail (on YHOO, of course) and told me to buy at 7 percent under the price at that time. But he also said to adjust that entry level higher so that it continued to be 7 percent below the new highs as they were established. Another friend sent an E-mail shortly after saying, no, don't wait, put in an order at market (which was 400 at the time). 25 points later (or was it 45?) I got the second E-mail.

7 percent below 445 is, what, 413 7/8 by my calculation. I'd say we are pretty close to that right now -- if only it would open there. But it won't -- my prediction is open at 435, peak tomorrow at 465, close at 440. No reason, but nobody else has one either. This isn't about reason. It's about no one being willing to sell -- volume today was a little over the average, but not much. But I guess if you measure the volumes lately in terms of the amount of money -- not shares -- flowing into the stock, it is high.

In how many stocks can the longs throw a party despite a 7 percent correction at the close?
