I discussed the model 7100 product with company reps at the Consumer Electronics Show. It's true the company will offer a satellite-based service which delivers Internet content, but DISH-selected content only. To be able to visit arbitary Net sites and pages or to use email, you'll need a modem and a dial-up ISP. I suspect a modem is still required for PPV movies. Another new feature of the 7100 will allow you to save the movie to its hard drive, which allows you to pause while viewing, then return to continue viewing from the stored content. It was not clear how extensive this feature is compared to RePlay and TiVo, new companies offering new combinations of devices and services to the premium couch potatoe markets. Dave
