See the following: Monday January 11, 4:30 pm Eastern Time Compaq to support IntelPentium III HOUSTON, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Compaq Computer Corp. said Monday it will support Intel Corp.'s Pentium III processor and will make the processor available in several of its lines, including the Deskpro, ProLiant, and Presario product lines. The new processor will produce up to 500 MHz of processing power, the world's second largest computer maker said in a statement. Earlier, Intel said its next generation microprocessor, Pentium III, will be released in the first quarter 1999.
