The catch,IMHO, is the problem to local carriers have with internet access. The telephone networks were not designed to accomodate the hugh and still growing volume of data engendered by the internet growth. To access the ISP a local telephone call is required. The local carrier does not derive any revenue for such a call. Many users log onto the internet for hours at a time which then denies the local carrier use of that line to earn revenue. The FCC is looking at this problem and one possible solution would be to make all access calls to an ISP server subject to a long distance charge or other special charge. Theis would certainly destroy any price advantage to an VOIP provider. Also isn't voice over IP a non-duplex conversation??

Very interesting articel. However the regulators may change the pricing structure. But has the company recieved any orders and has any installation been made is the real question IMHO.I like the company's business plan of incorporating the billing software woith their server and delivering tthe product as a totally integrated whole.I know of no other provider who does so at this time.
