Well Bill, Ca schools used to be the best in the nation before the republicans took control here and redistributed all the wealth from the middle class to the wealthy. But beyond that, you can thank the republicans for Boxers reelection. She is not popular - not at all and completely written off prior to this RR attack on everybody but themselves. Get used to people like Boxer in govt, theres going to be a lot more of them in 2000. Care to place a bet on a massive republican defeat?

No income or sales tax. Great schools and a great quality of life. The good schools obtain in spite of the fact that the per capita student expenditures are among the lowest in the nation. Strict control over school expenditures is maintained at the local level with our Town meetings. Also makes the NEA (lets throw money at school problems) look real bad. JLA
