wade: re the web savvy of DIS

Actually, yes, the site has several major sections, and a few of them weren't quite up to jimmies when they ran out of deadline (official opening this morning; actual scheduled for yesterday; as of market-open this morning, you could click on the portfolio pages and watch individual options and widgets being brought online; kind of fun, but not very slick).

The chat/board/talk area, however, is the slickest I've yet seen outside of a real Usenet newsreader like tin or trn. It shames this one here, and Yahoo!'s as well.

But don't worry. They're not a couple of college kids letting other people click on their hot-list (which is *exactly* how yahoo.com got started). It won't take five years for them to reach full-blown presence. Style upgrades will follow.

Meanwhile, who's the dufus who put together the presentation page for the millionaire.com guestbook? Fixed columns? Someone tell me the Australian connection isn't the regulars alt.neet.its.java.k-12.au
