I think they are tied into a deal but not confirmed..." This is my take on this statement: Most of the fine points of an agreement can be worked out without actual face to face contact of "group". Whole group "may" mean what would be necessary for formality of a "group" instead of a company representative. Or, in other words, group is in to officially sign off on deal. As soon as deal is signed news will be released. My prediction is news either around noon tomorrow or Wednesday morning.
