Kip, Just to let you know, I called one of my sources who would know this type of info. A nationwide MOBEX of the National Guard is an unfounded rumour. In fact, my source had apparently received many calls on the subject as portrayed in this person's aggravation about having to answer "another BS question" on the topic. Besides, the entire idea of a MOBEX without using telephones is ludicrous given my knowledge of the subject. NG units have a difficult time doing surprise alerts when they HAVE all the numbers of their personnel. If anything the NG may attempt to coordinate drill dates to fall on that weekend when Y2K strikes, that way there will be no excuse for a "troopie" not knowing whether to show up or not. Careful about anything published in WorldNetDaily (WND)...clear anti-government agenda...hey, I hate big government as much as anyone else, but I don't want the pendulum swinging to the militia mentality, either. Too many crackpots out there, and they've finally found something that they can glom on to, a subject that Joe and Jane six-pack don't understand or don't have the background to make an informed analysis of, so they'll buy into the craziness "just in case". Jeez, how did I fall into this political activism? Better get back to more important issues. Making money. Can't put up the wall without it. ;>
