CR, here's the url:

wmonline.wal-mart.com

<<Further, if they already have a web site and they are not the leaders, then it goes to prove my point that it is not going to be easy for Wal Mart to change the way they are doing business currently and become a giant e-tailer. >>

I agree. They don't seem to promote their web site very much. And maybe Cramer meant they need to upgrade or expand the web site.

Chinmoy, I don't think you get it. Yes, WalMart has a web site but, like most sane retailers, they are not too excited about getting into or pushing this looser biz. So they are dragging their feet. But like Barnes, they will have to blaze ahead, sooner or later, if for no other reason than honor.

These actions will really turn the commodity sales into grocery store type operations. Make that grocery stores selling cans of soup and beans, not produce and meat. And it will settle out much worse than most people expect. The use tax alone will throw a monkey wrench into the future margin equations of outfits like AMZN.

Some people have referred to AMZN as a next MSFT. No way, 'cause OS or apps are not commodities, yet. To afford AMZN these loony current values is nuts. In the "old" days one usually waited to see how things panned out for awhile before awarding a market cap based on a 100 years "potential" earnings.

Regards, Ice
