Bilow,
Generally trust you but <<A nation-wide company is now advertising 300MHz machines over the radio for $500. I don't see the prices of computers stabilizing for a couple of years. My guess is that they will get down to the $100 level for a machine without a monitor or printer>> is far fetched. Except all parts are integrated and no human labor. They put the ad but they might add on something and cost more.
Thanks

I guess I misunderstood your post; we are on the same page as far as PC sales. The number of PC's sold will continue to expand throughout the immediate future. However, this doesn't mean that the PC makers will make more money.

In five to ten years, each home will have a number of PCs, probably in the form of terminals, along with a powerful server, which, in addition to the standard uses of today, will be the brains for automation and control of heating, cooling, security systems, and numerous standard household functions.

Best wishes,

I2

Once again Brazil's problem, like Asia or Russia's, is not whether the devaluation will affect the GDP or anything, it is the swaps made between the Street houses and their counterparts that matter. People are trapped again and again for something they don't understand. This time it might be mild compared with last time. But, it will not be an one-day thing.

Yen is not finished yet, far from it. I think it is a good thing for dollar to go down this time.
