"Said employee has settled a lawsuit under the whistleblower law for a paltry $4 mil"

Did they pay him in MSFT call options? <g>

mb, These big tech stock eps have been so phony for so long that folks are actually starting to believe them. I read the MSFT 10K where they had to restate eps without options scams and put warrant flim-flams. Still nice growth, but a much lower total. Which means that pe ratios, as high as they are, are much lower than reality if we get a downtick in these bowwows.

You have to give the scamsters credit. The ones who are the trickiest, in the past, found themselves receiving lower pe ratios because investors couldn't trust them. Now, the herd gives them higher pe ratios because they figure that the slicks know how to "manage" eps. <G> What they know how to do is leverage eps in an up move in the market. In a down move, that "management" will kill them.
