SONNY, I do not like what I am seeing on my radar screen this morning. Unless the info is shockingly incorrect it appears that a real live asteriod is targeting the investment community at Wall Street and is going to blow the January performance right out of the water.

The following is the last S+P up date and a post I wrote earlier on the Dell thread.

GLOBEX PRICES AS OF 01/13/99 04:15 AM TRADE DATE: 01/13/99

CONTRACT LAST NET CHGE
S&P 500 MAR99 1238.00 -1310
NSDQ100 MAR99 1935.00 -2400

I see from many of the post that folks are celebrating the most recent good news on earnings from Intel and YHOO. It looks like they are expecting to now be able to quite their jobs, go on long vacation and buy a new car or house. I think that many of those damn piss ant MM's
read our post here at SI then get together and do the opposite of what is expected. I hate when I see stories in Money magazine or Forbes quoting post from our SI member. This gives those bastards MM's ammunition to blow us out of the water. We should have been able to look forward to a banner day given the news yesterday after the bell on Intel, YHOO and Segate but looking at the S+P futures this morning it is shaping up to be a real blood bath. What ever happened to the January effect The market performance is starting to concern me or the lack of it.. I thought I would just past along my view with you and all here this morning

Best Wishes
Frank

Good morning, Sonny,

Well, I got back from VA. Plenty of ice and snow, but it was good to see the families again. Hope you had a great holiday.

Seems I should go to VA more often, witnessing the great run-up in Intel's price <ggg>

This Brazil thing could still bode well for INTC. Money will flee companies with a huge Latin America exposure and seek a more quality home. I think INTC would make a great home for that money. What do you think?

WOW, what a great 4Q, and guidance for 1999 sounded good!

To 180 and beyond!!

Best regards,
Greg.
