Yep, everyone and their uncle is into the market. On average lately I send 10 minutes on hold with BMO's Investorline. This is normal. When the stuff hit's the fan look out! A safer way to play the net is to buy stocks like Disney and BKS.

Excellent insight. I have heard, still hearsay, however reliable, that Greenspan will speak on 1/22 about the Internet stock mania.

The Fed may need to act in order to prevent an entire market meltdown. In some respects, we are witnessing a miniature version of Long-term Capital Management, with small investors cranking up their margin accounts to buy these outlandishly priced stocks. A crash in these stocks will have swift consequences for those margined to the hilt.

I read on another thread that E*Trade was down for 8 hrs yesterday starting at 6:00PM EST. You make a valid point. What fun if that happened during the trading day. :)
