Well look a the deal with Currie and you decide it it's a good one.

I know the lawyer who settled the Barrick deal. When they settled on arbitration with the prospector the condition was he could not talk about it. I doubt he got 50K for 1,000,000 tons. Barrick probably made about 15 million profit and claimed none. You have to figure they could operate with free equipment on their side of the orebody after, so there are all kinds of intangibles. In my mind if they came out of it with usable equipment that would operate for another 15 years then they should have left the equipment on the property (about 3 million worth) and let the owner claim salvage or do not claim "no profit".

This is why I will never sign an "after payback" deal.

Claude held up pretty good today given the kicking that gold took.
1/4 million shares traded over $2.00. I expect that given the red in the stock markerts around the world there were a lot of central bankers selling a little gold to buy their currencies.
Probably a general consensus to sell gold as opposed to each others currencies which might lead to retaliation. Short term, I think that could lead to a quick reversal. We could see many individuals selling their currency to buy gold if the markets and currencies fall apart.
