My best wishes for your birthday.

Telephony as we know it could be considered obsolete. IP telephony will permit through audio/video and all sorts of additionals, effectively and satisfactorily substitute many millions "real world" encounters we have now days.

What I doubt is that this can be done through the internet. Probably will be carried on private lines to achieve levels of quality that the present day internet cannot provide.

Digitcom is prepared -and has started- to provide this technology, and a related business proposition, to telcos worldwide.

Some weeks ago I posted how the internet is already substituting "real world encounters" in a business relationship I have (with a packaging designer). Dave Rivaldo posted about a substitution of "real world" activities at his hospital through adequate audio and video. This improved the qualitative aspects of the situation for all parties involved and meant $$ savings for the institution that paid for it.
