Well if that Interworld gossip had ANY validity (and it probably doesn't), SEBL would only need to pay about $150-200mm for FLXI including the premium. SEBL has a mkt cap around $3.7b so we are talking about a relatively small acquisition. I don't know much about the mentioned companies other than they are doggggs as standalone entities. However you have to understand how Tom thinks. Tom thinks big and they are soon going to be the 3rd largest application software company in the world. If buying a Lawson or some other HR & Finance player wins 'em just a few large deals it might be worth it. Besides, SEBL has achieved what it has because of being aggressive. Why stop now? Their stock is at 51x earnings making their acquisition currency (the stock) quite the competitive weapon??
