While it is nice that LGND is at the H & Q conference IMO with almost 241 other companies there it would be a mistake to think that presenters will really bounce up after their presentations. Would think they would be more apt to lift prior to the conference on expectations and drift back after, unless something absolutely new is revealed, which when one thinks about it, has to be a rare event. How does a company happen to have real market impacting news, which should be released to all at the same time, to avoid suits and regulatory problems, just happen to occur at the time of its' presentation? If biotech were a hot sector like the Internet, I am sure each presenter would be soaring. But this is not the case and the H & Q conference is seen by more and more as a promotional tool for H & Q and many of the clients of this investment banker. This does not mean I don't want to hear what is said. <g>
