All: NAVR - So is NAVR still a good play for the rest of the day?

Any opinions?

All: Stops

If I remember correctly from a class I took in college, when a security's price reaches a stop price that stop order turns into a market order. Thus, if you place a sell stop order and the security drops like a rock, your order may be filled well below the stop price.

Am I correct?

TJ..THREAD..PROJECT

Spoke to Jeff last nite about a project for
the thread..and wanted to run it by everybody
to see if you are willing..

The premise is that corporate America has been
making i-net related investments for the past
three years or so and now the thrend to cash in
on those investments is beginning by "unbundling"
these investments and doing IPO's with a large
retained ownership interest by the parent co..

ie.. WCAP/COOL..MALL/UBID..DBCC/MKTW..NAVR/????

Every CFO in the country has seen this process
as a way to cash out of their i-net investments
@ 100X or more..so this will continue to happen..
The underwriters will 'time' their offerings to
co-incide with rally phases in the general market
and in the internet sector in particular..

What I propose is that we collectively scour the
net for any and all IPO news..coming registrations
etc..also calling companies' cfo's where there is the
prospect for an i-net subsidiary IPO..ie NAVR..
As we uncover prospects..we trade the parent..up
to the subsidiary IPO date..then on to the next one..

We can 'assign/volunteer' thread members to targeted
issues. I started to do this around Turkey DAy..
see posts #16214..#16911..#17815..#20911 on TMEX thread
for current/future candidates..I think this unbundling
process has a long way to go and would be a good focus
for us $$$ wise..we're already in DBCC..NAVR..anyway..

Is this a worthwhile use of our time and $$$ ?????
