>> 39 bucks a month... Crapola is what I say to SBC ! <<

You're too funny, Stephen. Think of it this way, if they ever come around to unbundling their elements, they'll have to resell to DLECs at a discount to that. Anyway, what does that $39 get for the subscriber, 128k IDSL? Or is it one of the higher speed mutations?

A few interesting thoughts before Y2K

What I don't want from 1999 is a promise to be a peculiar year of transition and preparation without a coherent theme other than that threat of the dreaded millennium bug, right?

In 99, will the industry be going into a defense posture, and will it last throughout 1999? Will end-user funds be diverted even more to Y2K problems, and are they nervous about having too many open projects when the year 2000 rolls around. Will new projects wait to start after Y2K?

How might it affect your position or job performance this year?

I think once we get into the defense posture, hopefully later, possibly August, these things will be allot more prominent. Understanding how August and the Market conjure a down-trend, coupled with the Y2K agitation, spending should also trickle down.

How say thee?
