Judy: Re:Intc cc/guidance

Appreciate your insights. I liked the cc, esp. suggesting slight decline for 1st qtr. We all know 1st qtr. stereotypically weak, reminds me of 4th qtr 96, 1st qtr 97, when major run-up for intc lasted thru Aug.97, 102 all time high then reached, before downturn.
Since I rarely trade, I look forward to strong base for Intc & Amat, esp. since intc has stated quite clearly that unfilled orders in high-end chips remain for this qrtr. Am not as confident that celeron battle with Amd means anything more than strong p.r. stance, vis a vis high margins, and 58% is sweet!
Assume amat has to meet the strong demand, i've decided to hold, new fabs means new highs before year's end and that's ok.
If internuts fall more than just a day here and there, that may be a positive, contrary to those who lump the NAZ. Even otherwise, by this time next year we may have our $100 intc, POST-SPLIT, with a PE firmly at 30's multiple. Do hope the Justice dept. doesn't fare too well vs. msft ,and go maniacally against intc as a result. That could dampen the picture, imo, but again, not long-term.

P.S. also seeing nxtl as a double in 12 mos., unless gobbled up sooner, if McCaw is willing.
