Kevin - Re: " But if that article (plus nominal DX6.1 support) is all
you've got to show, "

That is all I have to show right now.

Re: " show me a list like the one for 3DNow that is maintained at
chiptech.com "

All I could find at that site was a bunch of Kids Games and the following:

Q. What Non-Game Programs Support 3DNow!?

A. This area is so far one of the shortcomings of 3DNow!. Most high end 3D programs do not have support for the instructions. The reason for this is because the 3D that is accelerated is of the level of precision expected for gaming. High end 3D rendering is not what 3DNow! was made for. The upcoming K6-3 will likely perform very well with these programs, even without 3DNow! support, as the chip's built in L2 cache will lessen the bottleneck of RAM access (in my
limited experience, I've found that high end renderers rely less on the floating point unit and more on memory accesses -- this is probably a totally false assumption, but I'm the one making this FAQ so you can't change it!). Anyway, there are other types of programs, other than 3D renderers, that are accelerated by 3DNow!. Here's a list of them:

The 3DNOW support is real lame - unless it's a game what a shame !@
