It could also have been that Barr wasn't paying attention to the proceedings. I mean after all, he had his attorney there to represent him. It could be that he didn't hear the questions. Therefore, it would depend on the definition of "declined to answer". You can't answer what you don't hear.

Excellent post Dan. And you know what I think? I think there were probably 10 or 12 unborn babies that Barr murdered, where the stress he placed on both his ex-wife and current wife endured while he was screwing around with both women, caused any number of fertilized eggs not to develop into fetuses. Barr is a mass murderer of these defenseless creatures.

More to follow :

* Barr is not the "big fish" says Flynt.

* "Outing" of the others depends on how the trial progresses.

* The next GOP philanderer to be "outed" : Another member of the HJC that ruled against Clinton.

LOS ANGELES, Jan 12 (AFP) - Porn publisher Larry Flynt's probe of hypocritical politicians in Washington focused Monday on Republican congressman Bob Barr, one of the seven House managers acting as prosecutors in President Bill Clinton's impeachment trial.

Flynt, publisher of Hustler magazine, said Barr, a conservative Republican for Georgia and vigorous anti-abortion activist, had apparently driven his former wife to have an abortion.

"This man stood on the floor of the House of Rep and said 'abortion is the equivalent of murder,'" Flynt told reporters at a press conference held at the lavishly decorated office of his publication headquarters, in Beverly Hills.

The wheelchair-bound publicist said there was a receipt for an abortion paid for by the congressman from Georgia.

And Barr, 50, also refused to answer questions on marital fidelity during his divorce from his wife, Flynt added.

Flynt, 56, said Barr, however, was not the "big fish" among the dozen or so lawmakers with extramarital affairs he claimed to have evidence on.

He said he may reveal the names of other lawmakers in his expose on hypocrisy on Capitol Hill (US Congress) depending on how the impeachment trial of President Clinton -- starting Thursday -- turns out.

The list included another member of the House Judiciary Committee which brought impeachment charges against Clinton, Flynt said.

Flynt's investigation began in September when he published a full-page advertisement in the Washington Post offering up to one million dollars for anyone with documentary evidence of an adulterous affair with a politician or high-ranking government official.

Barr declined to answer such questions as ....
His ex-wife did not decline to answer the questions. At least Clinton never tried to maintain that he held an unblemished past.
