Regarding Number Nine etc.

So, assume for a moment that these new machines remain
in a niche and what really sells is the SW1600 flat panel
and the number nine card in the more "mainstream" clone
market (See the recent Dell and Apple announcements about
providing the SGI flat panel as an option with their machines.)

First question: what are the margins on:
1) The graphics card
2) The flat panel monitor

And who is standing to gain from this. The flat panel
at over $2K seems to be a better revenue/profit generator
than the graphics card alone.

Also, assume nine stock really flies, doesn't SGI hold
about 28% of their shares bought at fire sale price some
time back ?

To sum up, the speculation in nine seems interesting, but
there's more in it that meets the eye and SGI looks like
a beneficiary either way. Corrections and further data welcome.
