Isn't it fun having someone who understands you? Like me? Ahem.

Many a time I have come to that same thought, standing on the chessboard/crossroads of Life, getting ready for the Next Inevitable, and had a little voice say "Don't go do anything stupid."

It doesn't give any further instructions. So I have to tell it to shut the eff up, if it can't contribute.

"Nobody likes a Cusp-Warning without suggestions," I tell it.

I was BORN on the cusp, getting smacked from both sides. Pommeled. The Swiss cheese-board of Life.

Another one I hate is, "Don't do it like you usually do."

Another thing, is that the "Don't do anything stupid" message-voice has already sort of critiqued your suggestions.

Very annoying.

"WELL THEN WHICH ONE OF THESE IS IT, MR SMARTYPANTS?"

We had friends visiting this Christmas and we went driving and we are slowly passed by a county black&white. Friend pipes up brightly with "The police! Quick! Everybody act normal." And I had to steer straight while busting a gut.
