Dalin, for reference if my memory serves me right Dell did announce a split while in the 90's but that was a couple of years back.

So many splits, so little time.

Dell has split every 2nd Qt for 2 years.

This regardless of price. I think it speaks more of management's confidence in the company than anything. It also is their stated goal to buy back shares at a furious rate and split the stock often rather than pay taxable dividends. With PC sales going bonkers due to Y2K, I'll bet they have a super quarter. I will be surprised if they do not split the stock on top of the excitement of fantastic earnings. Also expect your next proxy to include voting on increasing outstanding shares. Best of luck to all. Mike.
