Why would a person do that when all one has to do is to hold it to become a millionaire?

Of course, to ask that question assumes that being a millionaire is a good thing to be, but there are easier ways to avoid being a millionaire than by speculating in AMZN stock at high prices. For example, one can make large donations to the Salvation Army.
