Who?Vision Names Linda Starr President and Chief
Operating Officer

LAKE FOREST, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 12, 1999--Who?Vision Systems Inc.
Tuesday announced that it has promoted Linda Starr to president and chief operating officer.

According to Alex Dickinson, chief executive officer of Who?Vision, Starr's focus will be on leading Who?Vision's
fingerprint-scanning technologies to the marketplace over the next year, leveraging the company's recent partnership with
Philips Flat Display Systems and developing new strategic partnerships.

''Linda has an impeccable track record in the technology field, and she will be key to the executive management team we have
been assembling to bring our TactileSense® technology to market,'' said Dickinson.

''Her strengths extend from sales to operations to marketing to finance. These strengths are critical components of the
operational excellence required to lead the rapidly developing fingerprint biometrics market.''

Starr joined Who?Vision in July 1998 as senior executive vice president of sales and marketing, bringing with her decades of
high-technology experience spanning from large to small companies including Compaq, NEC and Visioneer Communications.

Throughout her career, Starr has consistently exceeded expectations and provided leadership in developing new business,
breaking sales goals, taking companies through initial public offerings and strategic corporate planning.

While at Compaq, she served as vice president of channel sales in North America. Starr was responsible for worldwide sales
as vice president of Visioneer Communications and saw the company through a successful initial public offering.

At NEC, she served in a variety of management positions, concluding her tenure at the company as vice president of Western
Operations where her team was the top performer in revenue, profitability and growth.

Who?Vision Systems develops and markets a broad array of fingerprint biometric technologies and products that link personal
identification to the digital world. The company's family of TactileSense® technologies enhances security and convenience by

I think its Who?Vision. This press release only reinforces my belief that "rapidly expanding" equals sales for NRI, equals stock spike.
