Peter Canelo of Morgan Stanely Dean Witter (the company that hyped net stocks the most, and also home of william's pal mary meeker) is on CNBC right now telling people to dump internet stocks, and he's calling it a mania that could bring down the rest of the market. I wonder how long until Mary Meeker is selling pretzels on the corner of 52nd and Broadway? I give her two months. Although I doubt she'll have much success when she tries to convince customers that her pretzels are worth 500 dollars apiece.
