Are you serious or you're just being naive?
Did you look at the inflation numbers without Tobacco?
Did you look at the core number?
The core PPI wihtout tobacco is actually down 0.1%...
It's a great inflation report. The Tobacco issue is a legal issue, not an economic one.

So? What does a 28 year low in unempoyment and increasing wages mean? The Market jumped 200+ on that news (...and two years ago it dropped over 200+ on similar news)

What do the #'s mean -- whatever they want them to.

btw, imo, AG will not raise rates, he'll do nothing at the next meeting
