Thanks for the info. There are a lot of new rules that the SEC has enacted at Nasdaq in the past few years, for our benefit. I hope they keep it up and the "old boys" club goes away. I heard from a trader that there is a little known NASD rule which brokers don't tell you, and that is that the market makers have to fill your order at the bid before they buy for their own accounts. I don't know how regulated it is. Its in NASD Notice to Members 97-57.

Caught this discussion so I thought I'd throw out a link on the issue of MMs and specialists, should you seek air sickness...
