On CNBC one hour ago,Professor Michael Edessis from Lockwood Assosciates said that current market valuations are appropriate because " previously, the market was undervalued ". He said that "had investors known what MSFT 's growth rate was 15 years ago who knows what the PE would have been: maybe in the 100s or 1000s . And had they bought it at that price and kept it for 15 years, they still would have made a very good return. So everybody is trying to find which will be the new MSFT ". I hope this helps? gg, TA

In the midst of all the reponses on this thread, I happened to glance at the "sage" words of Sage Douglas who started this thread almost 3 years ago! He voiced the same concerns about Yahoo then that many are voicing today. How wrong he has been proven. But what about going forward? It sure will be interesting.

Don't forget the DLJ internet conference tomorrow... Lots of these internet companies are speaking. There will be selected runs in some of these stocks as they impress the attendies...S&P futures up a point right now. If it holds we should see a higher open for the market as a whole, but a lot of time between now and the open.... Long INSP and hoping to see a run.... anyone get a feel from any of the B'D's or analysts as to their thoughts on the earnings??? INTC and Seagate will be ok in the morning, it's some of these plays I am worried about...
