From what I can tell you, the guy listening to the CC was briefing everyone on the key items from the CC. When he mentioned the projected e-commerce revenue of 10 Billion also mentioned that the total project e-commerce revenue for 1998 was 7 Billion or so. I think he just wanted to emphasis on the confidence Yahoo folks have in their ability to grow the business. Will try to get the transcript copy from CNBC.

$2.7bn revenues in '99 would be about 9-fold from '98 revenues... sounds like extremly optimistic to me, but who knows... You sure you heard the figure correctly?
