Paul and all,

First, I would once again like to thank Craig, all the management, and all the employees of Intel for a truly outstanding historical quarter. Intel exceeded everyone's expectations (including my own) and once again showed what a well managed class act they are.

Re: short term

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a sell-off for the balance of the week. This seems to occur every time Intel announces earnings whether they are good or bad. However, the week following the earnings release we usually see a nice rally.

At any rate, I would like to remind Intel investors that tomorrow's action, next week's action, or next month's action for that matter are relatively meaningless in the scheme of things. What is important is that Intel is on a roll and the fundamentals have never been better. Record revenue, record earnings and margins (boadering on obscene) which continue to improve. All segments of the business (not just CPU's) are firing on all cylinders. Xeon is exceeding even the most optimistic expectations. New products are being released ahead of schedule and the future product line is truly amazing and relentless.

Re: split

I agree with those who think Intel will not split the stock until it stabilizes for a longer period of time in the 120's (or higher). That has been their track record. I also agree with those who think that a split is largely irrelevant.

Congratulations to all longs,

FF
