I may be wrong, but I think NN is next to go. It rose today on that very speculation. NN is the only other ATM vendor, aren't they?

The experts think NN and XYLN are going down. The XYLN chart looks like crap, so I'll stick with NN.

My big question is what to do with my CSCO? I'll keep LU/ASND.

Regards.

Keep in mind that LU will probably split in the near future. So, the ASND>LU upside could get pretty interesting.

I say diversify! FORE, NN, XYLN, PAIR, WSTL, MRVC ...

They're all up for grabs this year. As long as the ASND deal goes down, it will be a good omen for the entire year. If this deal gets screwed up, for whatever reason, it may blow the whole year for this sector and acquisitions. IMO

jc

If ASND is acquired, more than half of the above list should also be acquired this year.

Of course, keep CSCO, LU and NT.

IMHO only, CSCO stock is overvalued. Especially now that they have very serious and strong competition from LU/ASND. I also a feeling that CSCO is slowing down. Just possibly, they will hit a wall one day since their main market (enterprise customers) may slow their spending at some point.

I do not think LU will buy COMS. Too much product overlap anyway with RAS and all the switches they already have.

I think FORE, Newbridge and COMS will be bought by someone, perhaps by Alcatel, Siemens, or Ericsson.

The front lines have been drawn for the coming data/voice telecom war. I think LU/ASND has a very good position.
