To Frank C. Thanks for the analysis. Chuckle re AHhaha and his benevolent approach to other posters. Attitude, no? I for one respect you both for the expertise you are willing to share here and on the related threads. Appreciate your thoroughness and care to cover contingencies. Yes, all this is complicated. Yet it does leap to the eye that DSL is trying to drive a horse faster rather than using a better form of transportation to borrow George Gilder's analogy (if I remember it properly :-) ) Also the Bell's seem to need to be dragged forward - to the extent they do anything at all re rapid data transmission IMO - with the possible exception of Bell Atlantic. I see wireless as a better medium than DSL - both terrestrial broadband and satellite over the next 3 to 5 years. And fiber is key to the most rapid volume data transmission. Hence my interest in and investments in WCII, LOR and ATHM (among others such as BRCM and TERN). Of course this approach drives my fellow old timers crazy - they buy bank CDs and bonds. :-) But I speak as a learner. Respect. Chaz
