Bob, thought I share a story. Like most others I bought a couple of music cards and order a couple of CD's via net. Won't talk about working the web page, we know what great things are going to happen there. Had one of my PO's go into cyber limbo. Called the 800 number to check it out with a human. First shot was disappointing. Called back and got it worked out. The person answering the phone was Amy, the customer service manager. It was after 9:00 pm (or maybe 10:00 we don't do daylight savings in Hawaii, its unamerican). We chatted and she said that she goes into the telephone center and works the phones to check on the process, her folks, and customers.

Getting the first call by a new customer is marketing, keeping them is customer service. I was impressed. This kind of enthusiastic management coupled with all the other good things spells success. She was very interested in constructive critisism and process improvement.

Please give a "tip of the hat" when you visit.
