Hi freddy, Great post. I wonder if DeBeers will wait for the bulk sample results? I have a gut feeling that neither DeBeers or perhaps RTP or BHP will wait. If anyone got shook out today, get back in before Winpear gets away from you, and this time, take Cohiba's advice. regards, teevee

Chemistry is only hindsight it means nothing. Some Aussie ultra-mafics have perfect chemistry and no diamonds. Some prolific diamond mines have poor chemistry. There was meeting in Vancouver a few years ago where a discussion was taking place about an Asian kimberlite that graded 1.something carats a tonne (it was mineable and being mined by artisan methods), with the occassional 100 carat stone being found in local placers. One of the brilliant brokers chirped up and said "but what about the nickel thermometry of the G'10 garnets. The Russian geologist said he was pleased to advise the broker he was an f'ing idiot and to please shut up. Russians only care about ruby red garnet and airborne geophysics. They don't often care about a bunch of silly South African geochemistry. I saw a ground geophysical profile drawn in pen of the Udachnaya pipe. It could have been framed it was so well drawn, with stations every 10 metres. good night - aj
