really enjoyed this post from the yahoo board: "The short shares were 2.7 million in early december, but that does not paint an entire picture. The total outstanding shares of the mighty utek is just over 21 million. Thats the number of shares out there in the world that the short sellers can buy back from...and that ain't too many. Better yet is the "float". That is the number of shares out there in the real world EXCLUDING what is held by insiders. Last month that was 16 million. Lets all pause for a moment and enjoy this.... But lets first hope that the folks who own this stock and work for the company have not sold short. Assuming this to be the case, the folks who sold short....2.76 million shares total....will have to buy back from a pool of 16 million shares. If we behave like good little utek steppers and hold on to our shares for the long term, having faith in the leadership and products of the company, we will eventually get wonderful news, renewed interest from outsiders, and a group of short sellers who will have to pay lots of money to buy the shares, from a limited pool, back. Gd bless America! " hope you do too, Rich PS complements-UTEKman
