I suppose that there must be a single script that is used to post columns no matter who is doing it. Revise this script so that in addition to doing whatever it does now it also puts a link at the top of a Chronology page. Just author, title, time, and date with no icons packed together densely. It also removes any links which are more that 72 hours old. The Chronology page is just one click away from the front page.

I suggest doing it this way to remove the human element so that we are not continuously at the mercy of someone who forgets to put the link on the Chronology page. If you can't trust it then you've still got to be looking around all the time.

James -- if you haven't tried this already - you'll love it. It's the Yahoo pager. I tried it for the first time today. It allows you to see when friends are online and send instant messages. Sounds included - e.g. you'll hear a "knock knock" or other sounds - when a friend of yours goes online or posts a message to you. Very useful when you're calling the gang together for lunch.

Regards,

Phil

Hi James - enjoyed your article today regarding "E-Commerce May Be the First Casualty". When you have a chance - take a look at the business model of TSIG. Companies like AMZN, CDNW etc. are still brick and mortar to a certain extent because they are burdened by excessive advertising and marketing costs.

I still believe the following - "The low cost producer will own the market." TSIG's business model is superior in my opinion to that of AMZN and CDNW. I anticipate TSIG posting positive earnings in the next quarter despite it's current ugly financial statement. Imagine that - a profitable internet company.

Anyways - keep your eye on TSIG.

Regards,

Phil

I am wondering about your column today where you say this tape is a great buying opportunity. What kind of a time horizon are you talking about when you say that? It might be good for a couple of day flip, which is fine, but I think people buying here, especially tech, intending to ride the stock up might be in for some unhappy sledding for a few months.

A simple glance at the above Nasdaq chart should be illustration enough. This is one of the few times I disagree, and I read the columns daily.

Plus I don't see anything to propel the tech market forward for the present. We've had big runups, Microsoft and Intel are already out with their earnings, we know it's a blowout. Lucent got crushed on the news. And the Internets seem to be too hot to handle. I think we're poised here waiting for some outside event to happen to pop the balloon.

save the day-johns from themselves,
who do these doods think they're foolin,
they created the monster,
they benefit from the monster,
if the monster went away,
they would be pissed,
if they sack the market too bad,
everyone will be poor and the day-johns,
will go away,
and the monster,
would be dead,
it was karma,
it was destiny,
everything happens for a purpose,
and everything happens for a reason,
it's not about these pimp doods,
getting their fees,
it's not about these doods,
getting their bonuses,
these doods tried to kill these day-johns
a while ago,
but the day-johns
were just too powerful,
too concentrated,
to smart,
to pissed off,
they had their strategy scattered,
but it just sort of fell in to place,
it was destiny,
it will only get worse, my friend,
these day-johns,'
may get hurt,
but they
will lick their wounds,
they will think about what has happened,
how they have arrived where they are,
and they will be back,
in full force,
in bigger numbers,
and with more concentrated moohla,
the day-johns,
will play the names,
they will play the vision,
that brought them to the dance,
the dayjohns will be back,
it is about changing the guards,
my friends,
it may take a little time,
but it has starting,
the gauntlet has been thrown,
the after hours trading for the little man,
the moving towards a rapid fire,
ebay auction house,
the move towards a different bidding system,
turn the tables my friend,
heck ,
Nuke the fricken tables,
this is not a zero sum game,
this is about a planned strategy,
that will take some time,
take some thought,
and the day-johns will be back.....
