right now futures are down 19

a talking head on cnbc just said he sees dow down 300-400 today
who really knows for sure?

but it does not look great for long positions

yesterday the DOW broke support at 9540-50
then broke 9500
managed to hold the 9450 support level

the next support looks to me to be 9350
then 9250, 9100

to me a round 9400 looks key, but that's only down 75 from here
so I'd say a test of 9200 is critical, if that fails 9000 and over a few days 8700

I am not predicting a drop that big
but it is very possible
this market has been on a monster run
it needs a rest
people will sell to lock in big gains

I'm planning to go VERY slow on new long positions today
sure, buying the dips may well be the right move again
but, why jump in on the first day of a drop if there is one

I am in only 6 stocks right now and 2 of them are short positions
if I ignore ASHW am 92% cash

putting a piece of duck tape over my buy button for the day
maybe ggggg
