No Stopping Go Network, January 13, 1999 Upside Magazine "Is everyone well stocked with wine?" Infoseek CEO Harry Motro joked, opening a keynote that followed a mini-cocktail hour at last week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Motro was in a wine kind of mood, with only a few days left on the fringe of portal obscurity. Tuesday Motro and Disney flipped the switch on the Go Network, opening a new portal and slapping Go Network navigation atop the many popular Disney Web properties. Checking out Michael Jordan's retirement announcement on ESPN.com? There's the Go Network header. (Bet staging that on Go's debut put Disney's marketing department back a few bucks.)
