get a cable modem if possible. most likely to be your fatest choice. should look at features and cost as well. Cable is cheaper than ADSL here and faster.

FWIW - Our cable company is also about ready to provide us with access to the internet. A cable repairman suggested that I might want to wait, several months after it becomes available, before signing up. He felt it would take awhile to workout the bugs.
