08:35 ET: The S&P futures at -27 are down as much as the exchange will allow them to go - lock-limit down...stocks will be down sharply, but it is hard to gauge how much...renewed crisis in Brazil is the problem...the currency has dropped 9% and the head of the central bank has quit as interest rate pressures are severe...European exchanges are down 3% to 5% on these concerns...this is a reminder that the global problems remain serious and the the U.S. does not operate in isolation

08:32 ET Market Indication: Hold on to your shorts! (Pun intended). Market indicated sharply lower amid concerns Brazil will be forced to devalue the real. Countries Central Bank President Gustavo Franco resigns. Concerns dragging world equities lower, including the U.S. Current level of S&P futures suggest Dow retreat of more than 150 pts at the open. Financial stocks expected to lead the decline.

I prefer to have news often <ggg>.

Sometimes news will generate new interest as the price drops which in effect keeps a light cut from becoming a bloodletting,,, esp since I do not believe this one will last long at all..
