On-line auctioneer Bid.Com International Inc. hit $9.90, topping the most active issues in Toronto, and on-line travel agency Uniglobe Travel Online Inc. touched $7.40, before closing at a loss for the day. Both firms rallied along with their U.S. counterparts after Compaq Computer Corp. said it was acquiring California-based Shopping.com for $220-million (U.S.).
